What Is Panel & Door Replacement?

Panel replacement is removing a damaged body panel and installing a new one. Bolt-on panels like doors, hoods, and trunk lids get swapped, aligned, and refinished. Welded panels like quarter panels take more work: cutting at the factory seams, welding in the new panel, and finishing the joints before paint. On doors we transfer your glass, regulator, latch, wiring, and trim into the new shell. Every replacement panel gets primed, painted with base coat and clear coat, and blended so the color reads the same as the panels next to it.

Why Is Panel & Door Replacement Important?

When a panel is torn, badly creased, or rusted through, piling filler into it costs more labor than replacement and never looks right. A new panel gives a clean surface for paint and restores crash structure where the panel is part of it, like a quarter panel tied into the unibody. Correct alignment matters too: a door that doesn't shut flush wears its seals and lets in water and wind noise.
