What Is Insurance Claim Repair?

Insurance claim repair is collision work paid through an insurance claim, yours or the other driver's. You file the claim, the insurance company assigns an adjuster who writes an initial estimate, and we repair the car against that estimate. When we take the damaged parts off and find more damage than the adjuster could see from outside, we document it and file a supplement so the insurance company covers the additional work. In Florida you have the right to choose your own repair shop; you are not required to use the insurer's preferred shop.

The initial adjuster estimate is written from photos or a walk-around, before anyone has seen behind the bumper cover. Shops that just repair to that first number leave hidden damage unrepaired. Handling the supplement process correctly means the car gets fully fixed and the insurance company pays for it, instead of the shortfall coming out of your repair quality or your pocket.
