What Is Clear Coat Refinishing?
Clear coat refinishing addresses the transparent top layer of your paint when it fails. There's no honest shortcut here: once clear coat starts peeling or clouding, it can't be buffed back to life. The failed clear has to be sanded off, the base coat underneath repaired or resprayed, and new clear applied in the booth and cured. For paint that's dull but not peeling, machine polishing can restore gloss without respraying, and we'll tell you which situation you're in at the estimate.
